Soccer Recap: Mount Miguel Comes Up Short

Mount Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Cajon Valley Braves. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by just one goal.

Mount Miguel's record is now 3-12-2. As for El Cajon Valley, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Miguel will host Grossmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for El Cajon Valley, they will welcome El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Cajon Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
