Baseball Recap: Golden West Comes Up Short

Golden West lost to Monache on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trailblazers came up short against the Marauders, falling 15-7. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trent Beall was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nathan Gutierrez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Golden West's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Monache, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Golden West will venture away from home to square off against Mt. Whitney at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trailblazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Monache, they will be playing at home against Firebaugh at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
