Football Game Recap: Orcutt Academy Spartans vs. Riverdale Christian Ambassadors

On Saturday, The Orcutt Academy Spartans faced the Riverdale Christian Ambassadors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Orcutt Academy was outmatched by Riverdale Christian on the road and fell 42-6. Orcutt Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.

Ryan Dollahite threw for 30 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Miller was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and a touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Orcutt Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Riverdale Christian, the win was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Orcutt Academy will head out on the road to face off against Fresno Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fresno Christian's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Riverdale Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
