Baseball Recap: Bogue Chitto Wins Going Away Against West Lincoln

Bogue Chitto waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the West Lincoln Bears get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The contest marked the Bobcats' most dominant win of the season.

Bogue Chitto let Tripp McCaffrey and Paxton Waldrop run wild. McCaffrey went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles, while Waldrop went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those two doubles gave McCaffrey a new career-high. Noah Magee was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Bogue Chitto back to even at 8-8. As for West Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Coming up, Bogue Chitto will welcome North Pike at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for West Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to challenge Centreville Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.22 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
