Basketball Recap: Hudson Cobras vs. Gulf Buccaneers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hudson can now relate to. They were dealt a 64-37 loss at the hands of the Gulf Buccaneers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-17 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Hudson saw an underclassman step up: freshman Layla Richardson dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Richardson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cloie Hagin, who posted eight points and six rebounds.
Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Gulf, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
