Softball Recap: Holly Bronchos vs. Flushing Raiders
Holly was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Flushing on Thursday. The Bronchos blew past the Raiders 12-1. The Bronchos haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Alyssa Bowman spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Molly Charboneau (SVSU) was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelynn Mortinsen, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Holly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Holly pushed their record up to 5-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Flushing, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Coming up, Holly will be playing in front of their home fans against Ithaca at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Flushing, they will head out to take on Kearsley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
