Softball Recap: Goodland Triumphs

Goodland's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Hugoton Eagles. For the Cowboys, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Dani Fisher was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Goodland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Goodland's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hugoton, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Goodland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
