Volleyball Recap: Jayda Storro Key Part of Team Effort in Spartans Win

Priest River barely beat Genesis Prep Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars on Thursday. The Spartans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Priest River was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-5, 25-9.

Priest River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayda Storro led the charge by getting 25 assists and eight aces. That's the most assists Storro has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aleigha Jensen, who had eight aces.

Priest River has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Priest River and Genesis Prep Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans will face off against rival St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Genesis Prep Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
