Baseball Recap: Manitou Springs Mustangs vs. Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs
Manitou Springs posted their closest win since April 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts 7-6. The victory was some much needed relief for Manitou Springs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Maxton Bolster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Hayden Martinez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ashur Lavigne also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
