Priest River extended their losing streak to 13 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-15-1 in the process. They came up short against the Bonners Ferry Badgers, falling 17-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 on Wednesday.
Rylee Dixon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Adyson Kreager, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Bonners Ferry, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Considering they have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Bonners Ferry's side, Jennifer Petersen was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Petersen has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Bonners Ferry let Hailey Dickson and Jaydin Falck run wild. Dickson went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Falck went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Falck has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Riana Hillard, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
