Softball Recap: Hanson Beavers vs. McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars

Hanson waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars. Olivia Kayser made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Kayser has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Kayser was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jacey Schoenrock was incredible, going 3-for-3 with five RBI, a triple, and a run. Cadence Jarding was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
