The Croton-Harmon Tigers will face off against the Lakeland Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Croton-Harmon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Croton-Harmon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-9 margin over Hendrick Hudson on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Andrew Kim was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sam Levine was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Kahn, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Croton-Harmon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .623. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lakeland scored first but ultimately less than Pleasantville in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3.
Lakeland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ramzi Done, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. That home run marked the first that Done has launched this season. Alex Mautone was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Croton-Harmon's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Lakeland's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Croton-Harmon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Lakeland, though, as they've only averaged .228. Will they be able to contain Croton-Harmon's hitters?
Croton-Harmon was able to grind out a solid win over Lakeland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
