Meridian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Gholson 63-20. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Josh Nunez, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Guillermo Ortiz, who posted four points and eight steals.

Meridian pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Gholson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will host Bosqueville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bosqueville will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Meridian surely won't give up without a fight. Gholson and Evant will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
