Recap: Widefield Gladiators vs. Palmer Terrors

It was a good run, but the Widefield Gladiators unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 64-56 to Palmer. Widefield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Palmer apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Widefield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isabella Monk. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 33 points and 20 rebounds. Monk is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 20 games she's played. Kasaya Krause was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Widefield's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Palmer, they pushed their record up to 10-11 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Widefield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-34 win vs. Coronado on the 9th. Palmer has also already played their next game, a 50-43 victory against Mesa Ridge on the 9th.
