It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Tonawanda had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They strolled past the Lockport Lions with points to spare, taking the game 62-47. Winning may never get old, but the Lumberjacks sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Lilly Day was her usual excellent self, putting up 25 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Cashion, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

North Tonawanda smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

North Tonawanda pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lockport, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
