Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Imlay City). They breezed by the North Branch Broncos to the tune of 73-31 on Tuesday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Broncos are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Imlay City pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for North Branch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Imlay City will head out to square off against Algonac at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Imlay City is facing Algonac at the right time seeing as Algonac is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. North Branch has already played their next contest (against Croswell-Lexington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
