After losing to Highland the last time they met, Kingsburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vikings took down the Scots 21-7 on Friday. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Scots are ranked 437th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kingsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Leibee, who rushed for 98 yards and one score, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Cooper Holt, who rushed for 51 yards and one TD.

Another reason for the win was Kingsburg's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Jacob Ruiz was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

The victory got Kingsburg back to even at 2-2. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Kingsburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-0 win against Sanger on the 19th. As for Highland, they have also already played their next contest, a 46-13 defeat against Porterville on the 18th.
