Riverton Parke has gone 9-1 against Covington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Panthers will face off against the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. Riverton Parke knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Covington likes a good challenge.
On Wednesday, Riverton Parke made easy work of North Vermillion and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 12 contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jayleigh Inman made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madison Coonce was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sophia Hixson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Riverton Parke kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Covington's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 18-1 to Seeger. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered against the Patriots since May 20, 2022.
Covington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Sutherlin, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Riverton Parke has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Covington, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Riverton Parke hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Covington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
