Volleyball Recap: Bard Early College's Undefeated Season over After 14 Games

Bard Early College suffered their biggest loss since May 9, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Firestone Falcons. The match marked the first time this season in which the Raptors were not able to get on the board.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 25-6.

Samuel Malloy paced Bard Early College's offense, picking up ten kills. Malloy got some help from Demetrius Virgies and his 12 assists. Finally, Timothy Robinson kept Bard Early College's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Tala Paing was the offensive standout of the game as he had 12 assists and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since April 3rd.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bard Early College fell to 13-1. As for Firestone, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

Bard Early College has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against St. Francis DeSales on the 26th. As for Firestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against St. Edward on the 1st.
