Volleyball Recap: Woodcrest Christian Comes Up Short

Woodcrest Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Redlands on Saturday. The Woodcrest Christian Royals fell just short of the Redlands Terriers by a score of 1-0. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodcrest Christian was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23.

Micah Pool paced Woodcrest Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Pool got some help from Kai Higa and his nine assists.

Woodcrest Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Redlands, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Coming up, Woodcrest Christian will welcome Arrowhead Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redlands, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Cajon on the 1st.
