Basketball Game Preview: Northeastern Knights vs. Tri Titans

Two dominant guards in Adysson Kircher and Jillian Chew are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Northeastern Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Tri Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Northeastern's tournament run continued when they took on Centerville on Saturday. Northeastern blew past Centerville, posting a 61-33 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 327th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tri entered their tilt with Blue River Valley on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 59-18 victory over the Vikings.

Tri's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.4 points. As for Northeastern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-1.

Northeastern came up short against Tri in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 52-47. Can Northeastern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
