Tree of Life Christian snaps four-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Grandview Heights Bobcats

After a string of three wins, the Tree of Life Christian Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 35-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grandview Heights. Tree of Life Christian lost against Grandview Heights in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-43 score last time.

Leading Grandview Heights to victory were Natalie Smith and Tatum Lusher. Smith scored nine points along with ten steals and five rebounds, while Lusher scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Lusher has scored at least 25% of Grandview Heights' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Tucker, who scored five points along with six rebounds.

Tree of Life Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Grandview Heights, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tree of Life Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Granville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Grandview Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus School for Girls at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
