The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hosanna Christian, who took down sixth ranked Hosanna Christian, 54-26.
Camas Valley extended the longest winning streak in 1A Special District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Powers, 64-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Josh Hand put up the best numbers through the air as North Lake fell to Triad. He finished with a total of five completions for 104 yards and one touchdown.
Gabe Ovgard provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Timberwolves beat the Cowboys. He completed four passes for 21 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 219 yards. Ovgard's favorite target this week was Austin McGrew, who caught four passes for 21 yards.
Camas Valley's JOSH MATTOX and Caleb LIndsey have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. MATTOX has thrown for 1329 yards this season, while LIndsey, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 16 catches for 592 yards. Ovgard from Triad leads the league in rushing with 1577 yards.
The Cruisers were able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after falling to Eli Wolfe's team. Powers came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
