Volleyball Recap: Bishop Union Has No Trouble Against Lone Pine

Bishop Union won the last time they faced Lone Pine and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Broncos put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Broncos this season.

While Bishop Union won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 26-24.

Madyn Weller paced Bishop Union's offense, picking up six kills. Weller got some help from RILEY VAN NEST and her 21 assists. VAN NEST was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bishop Union now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lone Pine, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Union will head out to take on Burroughs at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lone Pine, they will square off against Immanuel Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Golden Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
