Softball Recap: Kaiser Comes Up Short

Kaiser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arcadia Apaches. The Cats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Apaches apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Kaiser saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alina Aguiar, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits were Aguiar's first of the season.

Kaiser's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Kaiser will face off against St. Paul at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Arcadia, they will take on Garfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something Arcadia will no doubt try to take advantage of.
