Volleyball Recap: Klein Gets the Win

While Klein didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Kingwood Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Bearkats were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mustangs, so the Bearkats were just returning the favor.

Despite the loss, Kingwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sammi Zeller had eight digs and two assists.

The win made it two in a row for Klein and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for Kingwood, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Klein will take on Dawson in a tournament on Saturday. As for Kingwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Lake Creek on the 22nd.
