Baseball Recap: Highland's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Highland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Griffith Panthers 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Brady Boyd, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Quigg, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Highland's record now sits at 8-10. As for Griffith, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will square off against Michigan City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Griffith, they will face off against Whiting at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
