Lansing is a perfect 8-0 against Ottawa since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will face off against the Cyclones at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Lansing came up short against Blue Valley Northwest and fell 3-1.

Lansing started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 26-24, 25-16.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ottawa's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Louisburg.

While Ottawa was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-13.

Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 25-8-1. As for Ottawa, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-20.

Lansing was able to grind out a solid victory over Ottawa in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
