The Delran Bears will venture away from home to take on the Moorestown Quakers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Delran has three straight victories, Moorestown has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Delran strolled past Haddon Heights with points to spare, taking the game 38-21. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Garnets are ranked 225th).

Vinny Sacca produced another solid performance rushing for 108 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 150 yards on only 12 passes. A healthy portion of Sacca's aerial production (117 yards to be exact) went to Justin Mary.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Delran was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Another reason for the win was Delran's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Giovanni Marshall-Edwards, Joel Grimshaw, and Sam DaSilva, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Haddon Heights' side was Jack Jordan, who made 14 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Moorestown played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Cinnaminson and fell 42-7. The Quakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Delran's record now sits at 7-1. As for Moorestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Saturday's game might be decided in the trenches. Delran has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 155.9 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Moorestown, though, as they've been averaging only 77.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Delran strolled past Moorestown in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 24-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
