Ashe County is 7-1 against South Caldwell since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ashe County Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the South Caldwell Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Ashe County is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Ashe County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to Freedom. While the Huskies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 16-12 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Caldwell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They strolled past Alexander Central with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 48-29. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

South Caldwell's win came from a few key players Ashe County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ava Anderson, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Maggie Wilks, who earned 11 points.

South Caldwell's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-7. As for Ashe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
