Football Game Preview: Southridge Spartans vs. Braddock Bulldogs

The Southridge Spartans will take on the Braddock Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Southridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Coral Park 34-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Rams are ranked 254th).

Meanwhile, Braddock put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Miami Beach 38-0. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

With the win, Southridge broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for Braddock, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Southridge strolled past Braddock in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a score of 18-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
