Recap: St. Anne Catholic Eagles vs. Walnut Grove Christian Christian Warriors
The St. Anne Catholic Eagles can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Walnut Grove Christian and snuck past 38-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Anne Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
St. Anne Catholic can attribute much of their success to Everett D., who scored 18 points.
Adam Smith and Lucas Thomason certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Smith scored 15 points, while Thomason scored 14 points.
St. Anne Catholic's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Walnut Grove Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
St. Anne Catholic on the road again on Tuesday and play against Carolina Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Carolina Christian is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Liberty Preparatory Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
