Baseball Recap: Gilbert Christian Takes a Loss

Gilbert Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crismon Rattlers. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly four runs.

Micky Moran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Moran is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Zack Linker also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Gilbert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Crismon, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Gilbert Christian has already played their next match, a 7-2 victory against ALA - West Foothills on the 4th. As for Crismon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-0 win against Desert Sunrise on the 4th.
