Preview: Chilhowee Indians vs. Osceola Indians
Chilhowee is 0-3 against Osceola since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Chilhowee Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Osceola Indians at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Chilhowee scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bronaugh 60-32 at home. Chilhowee has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Osceola's strategy against Rich Hill last Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Osceola blew Rich Hill out of the water with a 58-30 final score. Osceola pushed the score to 47-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Rich Hill had little chance of recovering from.
Chilhowee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Osceola, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Chilhowee came up short against Osceola in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 43-33. Thankfully for Chilhowee, Riley Hoppers (who scored 17 points along with four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
