Basketball Recap: Waller Bulldogs vs. Cypress Woods Wildcats
Waller lost against Cypress Woods back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Waller Bulldogs took a 51-33 bruising from the Cypress Woods Wildcats.
Despite the loss, Waller still got an impressive performance from Trinity Prince, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Prince a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Viviyan Hall, who posted six points.
Cypress Woods had a senior duo take command as Jasmine Lee put up 15 points and Chayna Thomas earned ten points and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Thomas. Kennadi Barnwell also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.
Waller's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Cypress Woods, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season.
Waller wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-30 defeat against Cypress Lakes on the 17th. As for Cypress Woods, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-44 victory against Langham Creek on the 17th.
