Burroughs and Hesperia are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Burros will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scorpions at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Burroughs fell victim to Sultana and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Sultans.

Meanwhile, Hesperia also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Serrano on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Scorpions were not able to get on the board.

Burroughs' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hesperia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Burroughs took their victory against Hesperia in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-5 score. Will the Burros repeat their success, or do the Scorpions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
