Softball Preview: Oak Ridge Trojans vs. Del Oro Golden Eagles

Oak Ridge is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Del Oro is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Oak Ridge Trojans will welcome the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Del Oro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocklin only posted an OBP of .154.

Oak Ridge's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Del Oro, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Oak Ridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Del Oro struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
