Basketball Game Preview: Cheyenne/Reydon Bears vs. Arnett Wildcats

The Cheyenne/Reydon Bears will challenge the Arnett Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Cheyenne/Reydon strolled past Hydro-Eakly with points to spare, taking the game 41-25. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.

Cheyenne/Reydon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kimbo Denney out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Denney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Bogges, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arnett). They simply couldn't be stopped last Tuesday as they easily beat Vici 79-52. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Cheyenne/Reydon's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Arnett, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Cheyenne/Reydon came up short against Arnett when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 45-34. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
