            Baseball Recap: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Colby Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Tuesday as neither Cimarron nor Colby made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bluejays never let the Eagles get on the board and left with  an   8-0  win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory the Bluejays have posted  against the Eagles since April 26, 2022.
Not much got past  Breck Averhoff, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Colby off the board. Averhoff has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Adonis Batman was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. He has become a key player for Cimarron: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 5-6-2 otherwise.  Alex Schlesener was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
The  win made it two in a row for Cimarron and  bumps their season record up to 11-6-2. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Colby, their defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-5.
Cimarron will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
