Basketball Recap: Orion Walker Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Wayland-Cohocton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Campbell-Savona Panthers by a score of 35-24. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayland-Cohocton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Orion Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Walker a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Charles Mulford, who posted eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals.

Wayland-Cohocton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Campbell-Savona, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Wayland-Cohocton will challenge Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbell-Savona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
