Basketball Recap: Jackpot Sets Scoring Season-High Against Carlin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackpot). They blew past the Carlin Railroaders, posting a 66-14 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Jaguars with their most commanding win of the season.

Jackpot's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jorge Avila, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Avila is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Angel Martinez was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 11 points along with seven assists and five boards.

Jackpot has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Carlin, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17.
