Preview: McKenzie Tigers vs. Pleasant Home Eagles
McKenzie is 0-7 against Pleasant Home since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the McKenzie Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Pleasant Home Eagles at 5:45 p.m. on January 26th. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 22 consecutive losses for McKenzie and nine for Pleasant Home.
On Thursday, McKenzie came up short against Opp and fell 36-29. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McKenzie in their matchups with Opp: they've now lost three in a row.
Pleasant Home suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 57-34 loss at the hands of Georgiana.
McKenzie dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.5 points per game. As for Pleasant Home, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
McKenzie was taken down by Pleasant Home 46-17 when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Can McKenzie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
