Baseball Recap: Central Minnesota Christian Comes Up Short

Central Minnesota Christian's last matchup with Yellow Medicine East could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Bluejays came up short against the Sting, falling 12-4. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Sting recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Central Minnesota Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Ver Steeg, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Central Minnesota Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Yellow Medicine East, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Coming up, Central Minnesota Christian will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian at 11:00 a.m. As for Yellow Medicine East, they will head out on the road to challenge Redwood Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
