Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Grove Eagles vs. North Union Warriors

Eagle Grove hasn't had much luck against North Union recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagle Grove Eagles will head out to challenge the North Union Warriors at 7:45 p.m. North Union took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Eagle Grove, who comes in off a win.

Eagle Grove took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 62-51 win over Central Springs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, North Union came up short against Bishop Garrigan on Friday and fell 54-42. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 31st).

North Union's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Eagle Grove, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Eagle Grove and North Union were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Eagle Grove came up empty-handed after a 51-50 loss. Can Eagle Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
