San Clemente has no trouble against University

Recap: San Clemente Tritons vs. University Trojans

Even though the University Trojans scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, the San Clemente Tritons still came out on top. Everything went San Clemente's way against University as San Clemente made off with a 83-62 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-19.

San Clemente was led to victory by Christian Fernandez and Porter Hansen. Fernandez scored 21 points along with 6 assists and 3 blocks, while Hansen scored 28 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hansen has scored at least 25% of San Clemente's points. Will Whidden was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 9 rebounds.

Isaac Evans and Christian DeBarge certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Evans went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 2 assists, while DeBarge scored 20 points. The contest was DeBarge's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was McKay Nelson, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.

San Clemente has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for University, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

San Clemente will look to defend their home court on Friday against Portola at 7:00 p.m. Portola is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for University, they will head out on the road to face off against Tarbut V' Torah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tarbut V' Torah will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
