Basketball Game Preview: Poly Engineers vs. Coppin Academy Golden Eagles

The Poly Engineers will take on the Coppin Academy Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Poly has four straight victories, Coppin Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Poly earned a 60-53 win over Marriotts Ridge.

Meanwhile, Coppin Academy came up short against Friends on Friday and fell 49-38.

Poly's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Coppin Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Poly took their win against Coppin Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 66-45. Will Poly repeat their success, or does Coppin Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
