They strolled past Plymouth with points to spare, taking the game 47-33. Given Tippecanoe Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Plymouth is ranked 171st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Ava Egolf, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Macy Petersen, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Plymouth lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lena Jones. Despite the final result, she scored 9 points.
Tippecanoe Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Plymouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Tippecanoe Valley will head out on the road to face off against Triton at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Plymouth, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Goshen at 8:00 p.m.
