League recap: Amado dominating on the mound for Skyline

I Section II league recap: 4/3/13

I Section II's top pitcher this week was Skyline's Mike Amado. He struck out 14 batters this week.

Riley Unroe had the hottest bat in the league this week, racking up a .583 average, three home runs and eight RBIs. Desert Ridge compiled a record of 3-0 in that time.

Rincon had a league-high 19 steals as a team this week, but still trails the Jaguars, which has 48 on the year, for the season lead.

Marana led the league with 45 runs scored this week, but Desert Ridge still holds the season lead with 173 runs.

There were 25 hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Jeff Carter, who collected three hits in four at bats for a .750 average.

Darick Hall, Alonzo Palacios, Unroe, Jayden Eggiman, Elijah (eli) Callahan and Tanner Ketterling hit home runs this week.



Buena's Jordan Carns threw five shutout innings in a 10-0 win over Amphitheater on Friday. He struck out ten, allowing zero hits.

Matt Thrasher drove in six runners as the Colts defeated Desert View 11-1 on Tuesday. He went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
