 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Stewart County, West Creek was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   5-1  victory over the Northeast Eagles. For West Creek, this counts as revenge for the   14-2 defeat Northeast walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2023.
  Andres Garcia-Ortiz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits.
 At the plate,  Aiden Urdiales was  excellent,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Donte Castro, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 West Creek now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with that  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Creek will take on Hume-Fogg at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Hume-Fogg is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.3  runs per game this season. As for Northeast, they will play host again  on Friday to welcome Clarksville Christian, where first pitch is scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.
