Basketball Recap: Jaidyn Mcmullin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Milford over Valley

If Milford was riding high fresh off their 59-27 takedown of Escalante last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Milford Tigers took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Buffalos on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled against the Buffalos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaidyn Mcmullin, who went 7 for 16 en route to 14 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Mcmullin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karsydi Vestch, who posted three points.

Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andee Anderson, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 16 points. Rachel Cox was another key player, putting up eight points and six steals.

Milford now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Valley, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Milford has already played their next match, a 60-43 defeat against Piute on the 31st. As for Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-21 win against Monticello on the 1st.
